Senior Network Analyst

Job Summary:
The senior network analyst works with organization's computer network, using information technology to make network systems for all employees to use. These data networks include local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), intranets, and extranets. Senior network analysts must have advanced skills to design, configure, implement and provide advanced support for the network and be up-to-date on the latest network technology.

Primary Job Functions: 
• Document end-to-end networking solutions to support global deployment of Network services including global backbone WAN, Metro, and Data Center networks
• Works technical activities as an individual contributor designing networking systems / solutions 
• Lead resource on project implementation and delivery of network technologies
• Assess, plan and implement new network technologies/infrastructure as well as changes to existing technologies/infrastructure 
• Leverages technical knowledge to develop designs and solutions 
• Provides expertise across technical areas while maintaining proficiency in key technical skills 
• Interfaces with customers and other senior technical professionals in the organization 
• Participates in project design development 
• Assesses impact of significant changes to systems and supporting components 
• Provide expertise for critical production problem resolution 
• Explores new technologies to improve efficiency and maximize performance 
• Acts as an initial decision point for technical solutions within the work group

Job Requirements:
• Must have at least 5 years of experience as a network analyst
• Demonstrated expertise in global network design and network technology
• Must be available to work off-hours project implementation schedules and on-call rotations

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Works as individual contributor, and is self-driven 
• Customer-first attitude / ability to work in inter-departmental team environments 
• Strong understanding of switching fundamentals and routing fundamentals: distance-vector, link-state, and path-vector routing 
• Adept with Cisco IOS and Juniper Junos and its variants, specifically the ability to read, write, and explain command-line level detail
